Jam and Cream scones VIDEO
- 225g self - raisins flour
- 70g g Butter
- 30g C sugar
- 1 Egg
- Milk to bind
- Sieve flour into bowl
- Add sugar and mix
- Add butter and mix by hand or machine until mixture looks like bread crumbs
- Add egg and mix with enough milk to bind to form a soft dough
- Roll/flatten out to around 3 quarters of and inch, cut scones out with a cutter, wash the tops with egg/milk and bake gas mk 7 / 220c / 425f for approx. 10/15 mins till cooked
- fill with jam and cream once cold
